Your first visit generally includes a review of your symptoms and medical history, followed by a focused physical examination. Depending on your symptoms, your specialist may recommend a vascular ultrasound to evaluate blood flow and check for vein or artery problems. After reviewing the findings, your vascular surgeon will explain what may be causing your symptoms and discuss an individualized treatment plan.
North Atlanta Vascular Clinic offers minimally invasive treatments such as radiofrequency ablation for certain diseased veins and sclerotherapy for spider veins and smaller varicose veins. Most patients experience only mild or temporary discomfort, although individual experiences vary. Your specialist will explain what to expect, how to prepare, where the recommended treatment will be performed, and what recovery may involve.
